Carol Kent is a popular international public speaker best known for being dynamic, humorous, encouraging, and biblical. She is a former radio show co-host and her messages have been featured on Focus on the Family. She has been a keynote speaker at Women of Faith, Extraordinary Women and Women of Joy events. Her books include: Between a Rock and a Grace Place; A New Kind of Normal; and When I Lay My Isaac Down.

She is the president of Speak Up Speaker Services, a Christian speakers’ bureau, and the founder and director of Speak Up With Confidence seminars, a ministry committed to helping Christians develop their communication skills. She has also founded the nonprofit organization, Speak Up for Hope, which benefits inmates and their families.

When the life we once dreamed of turns out differently from what we originally hoped for, we have a choice – will we continue to choose life and faith, or will we curl up in the fetal position and die emotionally and spiritually? Carol chooses life! Carol will share her and her husband’s personal journey through their son's arrest, trial and conviction – and the important choices they are making. Carol is also learning that God gives us splashes of joy – and even laughter – in the middle of a difficult journey.

The Central Florida Christian Chamber Business-Building Lunch is held on the second Thursday of every month in Faith Hall on the campus of First Baptist Church of Orlando, 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando from 11:30am to 1:00pm (doors open at 11:00am). The cost is $25.00 for members and first timers and $40.00 for non-members.
